SAMUEL BLAIR HAMER

BORN I BELIEVE IN British Guyana Demerara, I have a lot of info on Samuel however I cannot find proof of his birth or death.

I believe he was born c 1796, He married in 1828 Middlesex to Anna Scott. They lived in Guernsey and had a few children one of which was born in France, Charles attended the Elizabeth College in Guernsey. I believe Samuel was a illigitimate son of Joseph Hamer owner of plantations in British Guyana. Possible mother is Marianne Deniant. The names are all mentioned in the Will of Joseph Hamer. I have visited the grave stone in St Sampson Port Church where his family are named.

I also have proof that Henry Percy Hamer another 'son' died at sea 1887 in the Bay of Bengal while he was the Master of the Tug 'Retreiver' during a Cyclone. I have the Grave stone photo taken in Calcutta.

I found a Death of 'Blair Hamer' in Lambeth Surrey dated 1852. This could be Samuel Blair Hamer as I have not been able to find 'Blair Hamer' anywhere mentioned in the UK.

A second marriage turned up in 1851 at Berkshire with Samuels correct name, hence I am pretty sure he was a Bigamist as his children were still in Guernsey. Also his second wife Caroline Catherine Annie HAMER widow (nee Waldron),re married in 1859 Manchester to Henry Whitby.

I have more information but I particularly want to end my research before it is all lost and before I am no longer here.
