^{I am currently transcribing the Indentures, which is hard work. I have inserted some of them below. It makes for easier reading but all the papers are written in the Olde English style and I have done my best. The number 3799 is for my ref:}

The Therein and hereinbefore mentioned sum of £140** and the interest thereof and also for indemnifying ____ against the consequences of such ² guarantee so entered into by him in respect of the said sum of £7,000 as therein and hereinbefore mentioned and also for securing the repayment to the ³ said John Gladstone of the several sums of £1000 £100 and £1000 covenanted to be advanced by him to the said Henry Percy Hamer ⁴ so therein mentioned the said John Gladstone covenanted with the said William Attwick Hamer and Henry Percy Hamer their executive administrator or assigns that he the said John Gladstone⁵  his executors administrators or assigns would so long as he or they should continue to be the consignee or consignees of the crops and produce of the said Plantations and premises on or⁶ before the first day of July in every year render unto the said William Attwick Hamer and Henry Percy Hamer or one of them their or one of their executors administrators or assigns a

said John Gladstone uto the said Michael Greatheed Hamer and reciting that there was then due and owing to the said Hon Collins and Susanna Mariea his wife Charles Wardroper23 and Henrietta his wife Durell Stables and Ann his wife and William Ellis and Caroline his wife or their respective Trustees for principal and interest of the said legacies of their and respective24 monies the sum of Seventy five thousand six hundred pounds  in the whole or thereabouts and to the said Samuel Blair Hamer Eliza Hamer Marianne Hamer Louisa Hamer and Catherine Hamer25 in respect of their aforesaid several legacies the sum of t(hirty ?  )two thousand six hundred pounds in the whole or thereabouts and to the representatives of the said Mary Dyer 26 in respect of the account of her said annuity the sum of Twelve thousand pounds or thereabouts an on the first day of January now last past there was due to the said John Gladstone 27 upon or by virtue of his aforesaid several securities the sum of forty one thousand four hundred and thirty five pounds four shillings and seven pence in the whole or thereabouts including28 the said several sums of £1000 £1000 and £100  covenanted to be advanced by the said John Gladstone to the said Henry Percy Hamer as aforesaid 29 and that there was due for costs charges and expenses attending and incidental to the preparation completing and registration of the said several monies before mentioned indentures of Lease and release30 of the 27^th  and 28th of January  1820 and interest the sum of one thousand two hundred and twenty six punds fourteen  Michael Greatheed Hamer the said sum of Seven Thousand pounds And reciting that the²⁵ said Henry Percy Hamer had contracted and agreed with the said Michael Greatheed Hamer for the purchase of the said Sum of Three Thousand pounds so madepayable to him on the first day of May One ²⁶ thousand eight hundred and thirty 26 five as aforesaid and of the securities for the same at or for the price or sum of One thousand pounds. But is part of the indentures 1His Wife Charles Wardroper and Henrietta his wife, Durell Stables and Ann his wife and William Ellis and Caroline his wife or their respective Trustees for principal and interest 2 of the said legacies of their said respective wives the sum of seventy thousand pounds in the whole or thereabouts and to the said Samuel Blair Hamer Eliza Hamer Marianne Hamer Louisa Hamer and Catherine Hamer in respect of their aforesaid several legacies the sum of Thirty two thousand pounds in the whole or thereabouts and to the representatives of the said Mary Dyer in respect of her said Annuity the sum of twelve thousand pounds or thereabouts and to the representatives of the said Marianne Demiant* in respect of the arrears of her aforesaid Annuity the sum of One Thousand pounds or thereabouts and on the thirtieth day April then last upon a balance of accounts in which the said sum of three hundred and forty two pounds so paid and the said acceptance so given by the said John Gladstone as aforesaid were not included there was due to the said John Gladstone upon or by  virtue of the aforesaid several (securities?) the sum of Ten thousand five hundred and seven pounds nineteen shillings and three pence in the whole or thereabouts the gross sums which were then due and _____ as( incumberment?) on the said plantation or Estates respectively called Endraght and Mon Repos amounted together the sum of One Hundred and forty two thousand  one hundred and fifty one pounds six shillings and two pence or thereabouts and rest to be (borne?) by the shares of the said Michael Greathead Hamer in this said ________ and promised and that the said  John Gladstone and paid or advanced the sum of one hundred and forty pounds on account of William Attwick Hamer and Henry Percy Hamer to defray certain said expenses in consideration of the covenants herein contained  on the part of the said William Attwick Hamer Henry Percy Hamer and John Gladstone respectively securing the payment to the said Michael Greatheed Hamer of the several sums of Seven thousand pounds and three thousand pounds making together the sum of Ten thousand pounds and for ____ indemnity of the said Michael Greatheed Hamer as therin is mentioned All ___ ___ one Equal undivided third part or share the whole into three equal parts or _____ being undivided as divided and all (other ?) the part or of parts or shares (if any) to which the said Michael Greatheed Hamer was under the will of the said Joseph Hamer or other___ ____ of and in the said plantations and Estates  15 called Endraght and Mon Repos therein and her in after particularly dedcribed and of and in all buildings worked shared ____ stock effect and app____s hereto belonging and the annual sum or 16 ·      *Mother of Samuel, Eliza, Catherine, Louisa Hamer·      ** written in long hand not numerals
